1. A reservation is only confirmed once the client has paid
25% deposit and we have confirmed the booking in writing
or by email. Bookings made less than 56 days before arrival
must be paid for in full.
2. The rental includes: *All linen excluding pool towels
(1 full change per week) *Electricity, gas and water for
rentals between 1st May and 30th August.
3. All the gites have supplementary heating. (Either wood
burning stoves or electric radiators). In early spring or
late autumn, when days at below average temperatures are
possible, wood and electricity for heating will be charged
extra at cost.
4. The balance of the rental must be paid 56 days prior
to the start of the rental period, together with the £100
damage deposit. If payment is not received by the due date,
the owner reserves the right to give written notice that
the booking is cancelled.
5. The £100 deposit will be refunded by the owner
within 14 days of the client’s departure, less the
cost of replacing broken or lost items of furniture or equipment
or unreasonable damage to buildings.
6. CANCELLATION POLICY. Bookings cancelled
at least 13 weeks prior to start of rental period will receive
a full refund of all sums paid. Cancellations between 13
and 8 weeks prior to start of rental period the 25% deposit
is forfeit. Less than 8 weeks- no refund is available unless
we manage to relet the property, in which case an appropriate
refund will be made.
7. Clients are strongly advised to take out a comprehensive
holiday insurance, including cancellation and full cover
for clients’ personal belongings and Public Liability
since the owner will not accept liability for ANY loss suffered
by the client.
8. The rental period shall commence at 1600 hours on the
first day and end at 1000 hours on the last day. Unless
agreed beforehand in writing all rental periods will start
and end on a Saturday.
9. The Maximum number of occupants shall not exceed the
number quoted in the booking confirmation.
10. The client agrees to take good care of the property
and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition. The cost
of any special cleaning will be deducted from the client’s
deposit. The client also agrees not to act in any way which
could cause a disturbance to residents of neighbouring properties.
11. The owner shall not be liable to the client for
a. any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public
services to the property, nor in respect of any failure
of equipment, machinery or appliance in the property or
garden.
b. any loss damage or inconvenience which is the result
of adverse weather conditions, strikes or any other matters
beyond the owner’s control.
c. any loss damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered
by the client if the property shall be rendered unsuitable
for letting prior to the start of the rental period, in
which event the owner will refund in full all sums previously
paid by the client.
d. Any loss or theft of the clients’ personal possessions,
excluded under Article 1952 of French Civil Code.
12. Under no circumstances shall the owner’s liability
to the client exceed the amount paid by the client for the
rental period.
13. Any sundry charges not included in the rental are to
be paid by the client prior to departure.
